Mandala created for the Castagnina Residence in Savaghju

It's all very well being amazed by our chestnuts and chestnut trees, but you still have to share that amazement, don't you? That was the aim of my little creative residency at Savaghju, at the foot of Monte d'Oru.

From 14 to 16 November, I was welcomed by the team at this Corsican language immersion centre to prepare and try out castagnomaniac workshops for children. E sapete chè? Ci simu campi!

Varied programme: A poetic and educational walk through the chestnut grove to find out about the chestnut trees and how to look after them, learn how to make chestnut leaf wreaths and collect lots of autumn treasures!

A land art workshop, a writing workshop, a snack workshop, a song workshop... an opportunity to see that chestnuts can be eaten, contemplated, sung, made and, above all, that the taste of chestnuts can be shared and passed on!
