To give our chestnut trees a future, perhaps we need to start by looking at them again - to see and consider them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the aim of the exhibition \"\u00a0Castagnu: timber<\/em>\u00a0\" <\/strong>to be presented at the Corte University Library from September 5 to October 5<\/strong> The aim is to allow us to marvel at their harmonious or chaotic beauty, and to inspire us to care for them in a new domestic pact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To guide our gaze, we have chosen to present a diversity of artistic representations of Corsican chestnut trees, portrayed by some twenty artists with varied practices and backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Painters, sculptors, engravers, draughtsmen, illustrators, graphic artists, designers, documentary filmmakers, digital artists... They've all made chestnut their work of art. They all remind us of the tree's unique place in our imagination and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The vernissage is at 5pm on September 23rd, at Corte, Biblioth\u00e8que Universitaire!
